Yellowknife Church Celebrates Landmark Baptism

(August 15, 2009) Landmarks are significant events in our lives that we like to celebrate. On Sabbath, August 15, the Yellowknife church celebrated the baptism of Griffin Wile. Just a few minutes before his baptism, Griffin’s mom, Wendy, shared the reason this was a landmark baptism. Griffin is the only person to be born in Yellowknife, attend the church all his life, and to join its membership through baptism. Pastor Brad Dahr had the honour of baptizing Griffin into the body of Christ with Griffin’s dad, Blake, and sister, Mikelle, singing a beautiful special music.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church has been serving the Yellowknife community for over 30 years and is delighted to be sharing the hope of Jesus Christ with the people of Yellowknife. The church can be found on the web at www.yksda.org.
